Why we built deliv.
It started with a car key. I needed to get one to my wife across town, and every courier option was slow or expensive. I ran a shipping store at the time, and my customers kept asking for the same thing: faster local delivery.
We started in 2017 as ZipSendr, with our own drivers, and kept deliveries running through 2020. That year showed us a fleet of our own wouldn't scale, so deliv became a platform that books partner couriers, local and national, for every order.
Independent shops are what make a neighborhood worth living in. Every day they lose sales to chains with bigger delivery budgets.
The enterprise software costs too much. The delivery apps put their own name on your customer's doorstep and keep the relationship. And nobody connected the dots between delivering a package and bringing that customer back.
We built deliv so a boutique in Decatur can offer the same delivery as a national retailer, under its own name, at a price that makes sense.
